There are many marketing tools available on the internet today to serve the technical digital marketing efforts. Of them, GetResponse and Campaigner hold my sight with the features that they provide to their users.
Both these email marketing software provide similar tools and features but differ in specific additions to them if observed closely. Let’s take a look at them and see which would be the better choice.
GetResponse, being the simplest email marketing tool, offers services and provides features other than the email marketing. Let’s take a look at this tool and see what GetResponse offers for its users.
Responsive Email Design–As we have discussed above, an email must be responsive in order to increase the conversions from mobile screens. GetResponse provides total freedom in choosing the design of your email without the need for any technical knowledge. If you want, there available 500+ readymade responsive email templates for quick edit and use.
The Forms – This is a new feature that GetResponse has added to its previous features list. It allows you create exit pop-ups, lead capturing, shakes the box and other types of forms to achieve better conversion rates.
Landing Pages – A landing page is a doorway to conversion. It is where the customers get all the information of the product and allow them to buy a plan. GetResponse allows creating landing pages in less than 10 minutes. Its powerful drag and drop creator helps you create mobile-friendly landing pages along with the forms with no IT skills required. If you want, there available 100+ readymade landing page templates for quick edit and use purposes.
Webinars – This is also a new feature by GetResponse. It helps you capture new leads and nurture existing ones. The integrated email marketing tool helps you create webinar invitations and reminders with predesigned templates.
A/B Testing – This feature helps you test out your campaigns/offers and sort out which are working best in your business model thereby giving you a way to improve the strategies.
Auto Responders 2.0 – Automation helps your stay on board even during holidays and work-off days. You can use these autoresponders to show your concern over the communications you get from your customers.
Email Creator – Create powerful emails with simple drag and drop interface. You are given control to take photos, videos, colors, fonts and social sharing buttons with one click.
Email Intelligence –GetResponse email intelligence keeps track of the emails sent, opened and action was taken along with the gauge meter analytics. It helps you make quick decisions avoiding the report research work.
List Booster – It helps you maintain the email list. You can import email contacts from your computer or other email services including Gmail, Magneto, and Salesforce, etc.
Inbox Preview – This feature is a top-notch approach in knowing how customer experiences with the email in the inbox. It sneaks peeks the recipient’s mailbox (dummy) and shows a preview of how the email appears to them.
Divided into four major plans, GetResponse starts the basic plan at a very affordable price of $15 to the maximum of $799. Take a look at the prices in the screenshot below:
Campaigner, being the easy automation solution, also provides some similar and different features. Let’s take a look at them too
Segmentation – This feature of Campaigner divides the email body into different segments and allows the user to manage the static and dynamic parts of it.
A/B Split Testing – Campaigner helps you to track the emails and gain many insights into the campaign.
Email Reporting–Helps to monitor email success rate and other relevant statistics.
Autoresponders – Schedules and sends emails based on specific dates, needs, and actions of the subscribers.

The Campaigner automation solution offers multiple pricing plans which are a bit confusing to take up. Take a look at the screenshot of the same,
Which one do I prefer?
Both the tools have the comparable features, but I like GetResponse the most because it uses the latest and trending designs and corresponding tools. It cares about responsive pages, the color psychology of the customers, creates reports and displays them in charts for easy and quick understanding.
On the other side of the coin, I like the landing pages creation tool and forms creating tool by GetResponse which not only saves time but also improves the productivity by the end of the day.
Also, remember that more pricing plans not only provide more choices but also dilutes the number of quality services that you get for the price you spend on it. What do you say?
